 WEDNESFIELD DEPOT. C.£16-18k P.A. 

Our Wednesfield branch need another pair of hands to cope with their busy workload. Joining a group of 6 Technicians, you will be responsible for much of the major 'technical' work that comes into the depot. This includes brake replacements, part replacements (lots of springs, lower arms, etc that get picked up by our 4-Wheel Alignment machine), servicing, diagnostics and preferably some major part replacement such as clutches, etc.

The ideal candidate will understand how busy a fast fit can be, and can work in a sometimes pressurised environment, without skimping on the quality of the work being carried out.

Your work will be very varied, with all types of cars and some light commercials. Ideally you will enjoy interacting with the customers.

Occassionally, you may be asked to help out fitting tyres, exhausts and batteries, although we do have experienced technicians for this work.

A current driving licence is essential. We also need someone with experience, preferably a minimum of 2 years.

APPRENTICE TECHNICIAN

 - Wednesfield branch £depends on training provider

Apprentice Technician required at this busy depot. Ideally you will have a keen interest in cars, and ideally be able to drive. You will be trained in all aspects of Tyres, Exhausts, Brakes, Car Servicing and minor repairs. You will be expected to gain a place at a local college for day release in Vehicle Mechanics. Priority will be given to applicants who can demonstrate an interest in or prior experience of working with vehicles. You will also be checking websites, calling suppliers and helping to quote jobs, so you will need to be able to read and write clearly and have reasonable maths skills.

For both of the above roles:

You will be working Monday-Friday 8.30-6.00pm, with one day off every other week. Saturdays are 8.30-4.00pm.
